While the Irish pronunciation guide I found from the Standing Stones’ site contains a lot of good information, it’s a bit much to remember all of the rules immediately. To help, I spent some time condensing the major points into a quick cheat sheet that my son and I can use when we’re learning new words, at least until we get used to using the rules more intuitively.
If anyone else is working on Irish Gaelic, feel free to use it: Pronunciation Guide.
If you do use it, though, please let me know if you find any errors or if you think I should add something. Also, keep in mind that this is not a replacement for actually reading all the rules. There is a lot of information that you’re going to need. This is just a (hopefully) handy memory aid to use once you understand what’s going on.
