Duolingo is adding new languages!

I know, two posts in one day – craziness!  But I can’t contain my excitement.

Duolingo is planning to add Hungarian as a language! It’s almost to beta, and is slated for release at the end of May.  Woo!

It is so rare to see it added to ANY language learning application or program that I’m actually having to restrain myself from doing a lap around the office to tell everyone (who would probably just worry about my sanity, unfortunately). This and Pimsleur are the only larger platforms I’ve seen it for.

They’ve also just added Turkish, and have Esperanto, Norwegian, and Ukranian listed as coming soon, as well as – for those of you who really want to get your geek on (and you’re going to have to geek pretty hard to beat me right now)  – Klingon.

You can sign up to be notified when one of the new languages is available, which I did.  I wonder if they need beta testers?  Or if I’m starting to sound like a stalker.  I am, aren’t I?
